Health Check Week 7: confirmed absences and the next pivots

McLaurin is out for 2026; Adams and Doubs are on IR. Brown's Thursday status and other Week 6 exits still need practice and role checks.

Week 7 Health Check: Terry McLaurin out for 2026; Davante Adams and Romeo Doubs on injured reserve; A.J. Brown limited Tuesday

Evidence cutoff: Oct. 20, 2026, 11:55 PM CT. Availability and productivity are different questions; no new numerical rank or FAAB is certified here.

The decision now

There are two kinds of injury news in this edition: confirmed absences that call for a roster move, and early-week participation that calls for patience. Terry McLaurin is out for the 2026 season. Davante Adams and Romeo Doubs are on injured reserve. A.J. Brown's limited Tuesday practice is a checkpoint, not a Thursday scratch. This is a conditional Week 7 health board, not a promise that any backup inherits a star's workload.

Washington, Buffalo, Jacksonville and the Chargers are on a Week 7 bye. New England plays Chicago Thursday, so its final report and inactives arrive before the Sunday options.

Practice and short-week pivots

A.J. Brown was limited Tuesday with an ankle issue. Hold. If active with no restriction signal, use normal start context; if out, Douglas and Hunter Henry may be asked to do more, but the distribution is unknown. Chicago's Kyle Monangai did not participate in the walkthrough estimate with thumb/toe issues; wait for the final status before installing a replacement.

Rashod Bateman (shoulder), Darnell Mooney (neck) and KaVontae Turpin (rib) exited Week 6 without a reviewed final Week 7 designation. Hold Bateman in deeper formats and check Ja'Kobi Lane's routes if Bateman misses time. Ladd McConkey exited with a concussion, but the Chargers' bye removes an immediate Week 7 start/sit decision.

What changes this board

Practice progression and game designations answer availability; routes, touches and role-specific work answer fantasy productivity. An active tag does not certify a full workload. No player-specific medical probability, recovery promise, new ACE rank or FAAB is asserted here.
