02

Risers: the opening has limits

Ollie Gordon II · MIA RB

RB74 → RB19 · UP · 39.1 → 158.2 projected points

Old assumption: The September 22 outlook had Achane leading Miami.

New evidence and forecast: Achane's reported season-ending absence opens work. Gordon's 61 Week 3 snaps, 28 routes, three charted targets and 17 designed carries were full-game totals with Jaylen Wright inactive; they do not prove a workhorse role when both backs are healthy. The Gordon/Wright split and later-week volume are editorial forecasts.

Action: Add for bench value and conditional Flex use. Price a Gordon/Wright committee, and check Wright's practice status.

Confidence: Moderate on opportunity; lower on the precise split.

What changes it: Wright returns fully and takes more rushing or passing work; another absence raises Gordon's immediate volume.

Braelon Allen · NYJ RB

RB59 → RB44 · UP · 67.0 → 90.7 projected points

Old assumption: Hall led the healthy early deployment and Allen projected as a complementary back.

New evidence and forecast: Hall's Week 3 quad exit creates a near-term vacancy. Before the exit, Hall led Allen 24–14 snaps and 10–1 carries; Allen's subsequent workload is injury coverage, not proof of a healthy takeover. The model also estimates a modest later healthy-role increase, which has not been observed yet.

Action: Add where available for immediate cover, with Isaiah Davis still part of the receiving tree.

Confidence: Moderate on the temporary opportunity, low on an exact return window.

What changes it: Hall's unrestricted return removes much of the extra work.

03

Fallers and holds that matter

De'Von Achane · MIA RB

RB9 → RB96* · DOWN · 194.1 → 0.0 projected points

Old assumption: The September 22 estimate assumed ordinary availability.

New evidence and forecast: Miami placed him on injured reserve after his Week 3 knee injury. The reported ACL and season-ending outlook are attributed reporting, not a team-confirmed diagnosis. The current Week 4–18 forecast gives him zero appearances.

Action: Drop in redraft when keeper value does not apply; dynasty decisions are separate.

Confidence: High for 2026 redraft action.

What changes it: A formal change to the season-ending outlook requires a fresh projection.

Jaxson Dart · NYG QB

QB9 → QB33* · DOWN · 243.0 → 0.0 projected points

Old assumption: His injury and pending MRI were already known September 22; the restated forecast retained a probability-weighted return.

New evidence and forecast: The Giants later confirmed that he will miss the rest of the regular season. That severity confirmation, not the original injury, drives the remaining-season zero.

Action: Drop in redraft; retain dynasty rights. Jameis Winston and J.J. McCarthy are new pool entries without invented old ranks.

Confidence: High for 2026 redraft.

What changes it: Only a changed medical outlook alters his regular-season value.

Baker Mayfield · TB QB

QB15 → QB30 · DOWN · 226.8 → 166.4 projected points

Old assumption: Ordinary availability was projected September 22.

New evidence and forecast: A reported thumb injury carries at least a three-week absence, and Jalon Daniels was announced as the Week 4 starter. The forecast uses an editorial staged return rather than treating three weeks as exactly three games.

Action: Bench while out; stash where bench or IR space or Superflex value warrants, otherwise use an active streamer. Daniels is a separate Superflex contingency, not an automatic one-QB start.

Confidence: High on the immediate bench call; moderate on the ROS endpoint.

What changes it: Clearance or a slower functional ramp changes the later weeks.

Jalen McMillan · TB WR

WR69 → WR105 · DOWN · 65.8 → 28.9 projected points

Old assumption: The September 22 forecast assumed a normal receiver role.

New evidence and forecast: The September 29 reported PCL reinjury and six-to-eight-week outlook reduce expected games. The exact duration is attributed reporting and the return schedule is an editorial estimate; Mayfield's simultaneous absence and the revised post-return Tampa target allocation also change the projection.

Action: Use an IR slot if eligible, or drop in shallow redraft leagues with no spare bench space.

Confidence: Moderate on the near-term absence; lower on the exact return week.

What changes it: A faster functional return and stable routes restore value.

Breece Hall · NYJ RB

RB13 → RB22 · DOWN · 177.2 → 154.6 projected points

Old assumption: The earlier projection assumed ordinary availability.

New evidence and forecast: Hall's quad issue is now described as week to week. Before his exit he led Braelon Allen 24–14 snaps and 10–1 carries; Allen's later workload is an injury-vacancy sample, not proof of a healthy takeover. Hall's reduced receiving share in later model weeks is a reassessed role prior, not an observed post-return fact.

Action: Hold Hall, cover his near-term risk and add Allen where available.

Confidence: Moderate on temporary risk; low on an exact return date.

What changes it: Full practice and unrestricted work restore the healthy hierarchy; prolonged absence raises Allen.

The next move

Add Gordon for conditional committee value; protect Hall with a playable pivot; bench Mayfield while out; and remove Achane and Dart from ordinary 2026 redraft plans. Allen is conditional Hall cover; McMillan needs an IR or bench decision. Practice reports, Dolphins transactions and the Tampa Bay and Jets injury reports are the next revision triggers.

Evidence and method: the Week 3 Opportunity Report, Week 4 Health Check, current Week 4–18 forecast, the September 22 game-level source workbook, NFL on Achane, NFL on Mayfield and Daniels, the Giants Week 4 tracker. Rank changes use a restated September 22 Weeks 4–18 forecast under the September 29 calculation method; the old published board was a different horizon. Return probabilities, team shares and high-value touches are FFB forecast assumptions. Each team budget reconciles in expected value, but roster-pool additions and editorial role reallocations can affect the magnitude of point and rank changes. This is not a joint simulation of every injury branch.
