Four Weekend Repair Plans
Sunday availability now controls these repair plans; October 1 provisional ranks remain historical context. Protect longer-term value and use healthy, unlocked players this week.

Fantasy managers love a clean swap: injured player out, backup in, anxiety deleted. Week 4 is not offering that package. Breece Hall, Jayden Daniels and Justin Jefferson were subsequently ruled out for Week 4; their longer-term value remains separate from current availability, while several backfields have enough moving pieces to qualify as small-group projects. The fix is to preserve long-term value and buy only the points you may actually need this weekend.
Immediate Action Board
| Roster problem | Do this now | Deadline | Current evidence | Confidence |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Breece Hall roster | Sit Hall; add Braelon Allen if available as need-based RB/FLEX cover; Isaiah Davis may retain receiving work | Before noon CT replacement lock | Official Jets inactive list confirms Hall out | Moderate |
| Jayden Daniels roster | Hold Daniels for future weeks; London is locked and Marcus Mariota was ruled out in-game | No remaining London lineup action | NFL official inactives and in-game report | Verified status |
| Justin Jefferson roster | Sit Jefferson; use an eligible healthy receiver before that player locks | Before replacement locks | Friday final report ruled Jefferson out | Moderate |
| Committee RB bench | Start only the lead option your roster can support; keep the secondary backs on the bench | Sunday inactives and role confirmation | Mixed Thursday practice news | Moderate |
RB: Sit Hall; Use Allen Only If Needed
Breece Hall is out on the official Jets game-day inactive list. Sit him for Week 4 and hold him for future weeks if the roster can absorb the absence. The October 1 owner-approved provisional weekly RB95 and ROS RB18 entries are historical context, not Sunday projections or trade floors.
Braelon Allen is a need-based RB/FLEX option, not an automatic replacement for every Hall carry, route and target. Isaiah Davis may retain receiving work. Compare Allen with your healthy starters and complete any replacement before the noon CT lock. Check your own waiver wire; roster rates were not independently refreshed.
QB: the London bridge is closed
Jayden Daniels was inactive for Week 4 London. The October 1 owner-approved provisional export had Marcus Mariota at weekly QB12 and ROS QB32 as a pregame availability branch, not a current certified point projection. Mariota started, then left with a right-knee injury and was ruled out. Athan Kaliakmanis replaced him. There is no remaining London add/start decision; do not chase either quarterback after lock.
Complete transaction: Hold Daniels if your roster can absorb a future-week wait. Use a healthy quarterback already eligible in a game that has not locked for any remaining Superflex/2QB need; a locked Washington game cannot supply those points. Reassess Daniels and Mariota from new medical and practice evidence next week. The provisional Oct. 1 ranks are preserved as dated context, not updated Sunday ranks.
WR: Sit Jefferson; Check Nacua at Noon
Justin Jefferson was ruled out on Minnesota's Friday final report. Sit him; select an eligible healthy receiver before that replacement locks. Hold longer-term value, but do not turn the historical October 1 ROS WR10 or Week 4 WR57 ranks into a current Sunday trade floor.
Jauan Jennings is not an automatic one-for-one replacement. The older provisional WR77 rank is historical context only. Compare actual healthy alternatives and do not infer that Jefferson's targets transfer in full to another player.
Puka Nacua practiced fully Friday with no designation. A Sunday report says the Rams plan no preset snap cap, while conditioning will be assessed during the game. His game-day active status was not independently verified by the 10:45 AM CT cutoff. Lean Start against fringe alternatives if officially active; an unexpected inactive or material workload report reopens the replacement plan. Davante Adams remains a real Rams option without a guaranteed target transfer.
RB Committees: Separate the Starter From the Stash
Tennessee improved Thursday: Tony Pollard returned to a full practice, while Tyjae Spears was limited. The October 1 historical export listed Pollard RB28 and Spears RB50; that order is not a certified Sunday projection. Spears is active on the official Ravens game-day list. Availability alone does not certify a Pollard–Spears workload split or a new rank.
The Chargers and Dolphins still require patience. October 1 historical ranks placed Omarion Hampton at RB25, Keaton Mitchell at RB41 and Kimani Vidal at RB65. The same dated export listed Ollie Gordon II at RB35 and Jaylen Wright at RB58; Wright returned to a full Thursday practice. Use a healthy option only when your roster needs the role and confirm the official active group. Keep Mitchell, Vidal and Wright as contingent depth until carries, routes, two-minute work and scoring-area opportunities support a larger role.
No-move branch: Do not trade a core starter for uncertain committee volume. The upside stash belongs in the final useful bench spot, not in place of a healthy starter. Sunday inactives and any material goal-line or route change are the next checkpoints.
Complete Weekend Pivot Table
| Situation | Immediate repair | Backup | Trade ceiling | Exact action | Checkpoint | Confidence | Change trigger |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hall out for Week 4 | Braelon Allen · need-based cover | Isaiah Davis · receiving role unsettled | Hold Hall for future weeks | Sit Hall; compare Allen with healthy alternatives | Before noon CT lock | Verified status; workload conditional | Official Jets inactives and role report |
| Daniels/Mariota Week 4 bridge closed | No unlocked Washington QB pivot | Best healthy rostered QB for a future game only | No one-week QB trade after lock | Hold Daniels; do not add/start Mariota for the locked London game | Next-week status | Verified lock | Future injury report |
| Jefferson out | Best eligible healthy rostered WR | No one-for-one target transfer | Hold Jefferson for future weeks | Sit Jefferson; start the healthy alternative | Before replacement locks | Verified status | Later injury updates |
| Puka Nacua Friday full practice, no designation | Lean Start if officially active | Established healthy WR/FLEX | Avoid injury-discount sale | Reported no preset snap cap; conditioning remains a variable | Before noon CT lock; Rams inactives unverified at 10:45 | Conditional | Unexpected inactive or material workload report |
| RB committee depth | Tony Pollard; Omarion Hampton; Ollie Gordon II · conditional roles | Tyjae Spears; Keaton Mitchell; Jaylen Wright · role checks | Do not trade a core starter for uncertain committee volume | Compare healthy roles; bench unproved contingent backs | Sunday inactives | Moderate | Material goal-line, route or inactive change |
Position-by-Position Close
Hold Daniels for future weeks if practical. London is locked and Mariota was ruled out in-game; use only an eligible healthy QB in a game still ahead.
Consider Allen as need-based Hall cover. Compare healthy committee roles; Spears is active, but no new split is certified.
Hold Jefferson and reserve a healthy replacement. Lean Start Nacua against fringe alternatives if officially active; check Rams game-day status before noon CT.
Do not convert Hall, Daniels or Jefferson into a distressed one-week sale. Buy only the points your starting lineup actually loses.
Repair the missing points, not the famous name
The dated provisional ranks gave an order before London. Official inactives, the in-game Mariota exit and the remaining game locks determine what is usable now. Hold the star, reserve the healthy alternative and make the final swap before the replacement—not merely the injured player—locks.
