Final Waiver Edge Week 7: buy the role, mind the window

Jonah Coleman leads the final Week 7 board, with Omar Cooper Jr., Kendre Miller, Jordyn Tyson and Terrance Ferguson as role-specific adds and stashes.

Week 7 Waiver Edge top five: Jonah Coleman, Omar Cooper Jr., Kendre Miller, Jordyn Tyson and Terrance Ferguson

Roster-rate cutoff: Oct. 20, 2026. Yahoo percentages below come from the current FantasyPros Week 7 board; local availability varies. FAAB assumes a $100 seasonal budget.

1Jonah Coleman29% Yahoo$4; $8 if RB-desperateAdd for upside as he returns from IR; do not assume an immediate lead role.
2Omar Cooper Jr.4% Yahoo; 17% Sleeper$3; $6 if WR-desperateAdd for receiver upside after 6-103-1 on seven targets.
3Kendre Miller34% Yahoo; 47% Sleeper$3; $6 if RB-desperateAdd for short-term early-down volume; Saints bye follows Week 7.
4Jordyn Tyson48% Yahoo$6; $12 if you can waitStash for post-IR upside; Week 9 is the likelier return scenario.
5Terrance Ferguson13% Yahoo$6; $12 for TE needStash for a possible Week 8 return and larger multiple-TE role without Adams.

The board is ordered for a typical half-PPR roster. Higher stash bids reflect longer-term upside and positional need, not a promise of Week 7 points.

Why these five

Jonah Coleman is eligible to return from injured reserve. Denver's backfield has not separated through efficiency, giving him a path to earn work, but the first game back can include a ramp. Bid for the path, not a guaranteed start.

Omar Cooper Jr. returned with six catches for 103 yards and a touchdown. Adonai Mitchell's eventual return can compress the routes, so the bid stays below a full-breakout price. Kendre Miller has 30 carries over two weeks and 20 in Week 6, but his early-down role and the Week 8 bye limit the ceiling.

Jordyn Tyson is a bench stash for managers who can wait through a hamstring return and the Week 8 bye. Terrance Ferguson is a tight-end swing: the Rams already use multiple-TE sets, Adams is out, and Ferguson is eligible in Week 8. Neither stash belongs in a Week 7 lineup.

Fallbacks by need

  • Receiver depth: DeMario Douglas ($1) for PPR; Jaylin Noel ($1) or Ja'Kobi Lane ($1) for upside.
  • Immediate quarterback: Aaron Rodgers ($2) or Michael Penix Jr. ($2); Tanner McKee is a $1 Superflex bridge.
  • Deep running back: Jaleel McLaughlin ($1) only while Cleveland injuries preserve a path.
  • Check your wire: Germie Bernard is exactly 50% rostered on the current Yahoo board and may be unavailable elsewhere; add aggressively if your league is the exception.

Drop and pass rules

Do not drop a healthy weekly starter for a return-from-IR stash. Avoid chasing Corey Kiner's late-game line as proof of a lead role. Keep injured stars in eligible IR slots when the bench cost is manageable. Use $0–$1 fallbacks when the role is contingent or the player is on bye.
